  • Katherine Garvey

    Charity Manager

    Kate has worked within the charity sector for almost a decade, delivering successful volunteer-led projects across London. Kate manages the running of CareDogs charity and also volunteers as a befriender with her own CareDog, Joey. In Kate’s spare time, she helps rescue street dogs and cats from across the world.

  • Julia Gunning

    Client Onboarding Volunteer

    Julia and her cockerpoo Obi volunteer for us as befrienders - and loving the CareDogs mission, Julia joined our team behind-the-scenes too. Having worked as the Youth and Children’s Administrator for Bromley Town Church for nine years, Julia was also a Personal Care Assistant working in the community for St. Christopher’s Hospice and brings warmth and experience to our clients as their first port of call.

  • Alison O’Toole

    Befriender Co-Ordinator Volunter

    Allison and her adorable golden retriever, Maple, were CareDogs befrienders before Allison, who is passionate about volunteering and dogs, decided to jump aboard the operational volunteer team to combine both. Allison supports with recruiting and onboarding new befrienders. Allison lives with her husband, Maple and the newest addition to the family, a second golden retriever called Millie.

  • Koren Maltby

    Administration Volunteer

    Koren spent 25 years as a bursar for an independent girls school and brings plenty of admin experience. Koren now volunteers for several organisations and jumped at the chance to volunteer for CareDogs since she adores dogs. Koren also heads up our group walks, to ensure coordination and safety of all our participants.

  • Christian Musinguzi

    Group Walk Steward Volunteer

    Christian is a recent graduate eager to begin a career in financial services. Alongside his professional ambitions, he’s a committed volunteer who finds purpose in supporting community projects and enjoys volunteering with CareDogs. Christian stays active and while he doesn’t have a pet as of now, he plans to welcome one into his life in the future.

  • Emma Stiffe

    Group Walk Steward Volunteer

    Emma volunteers for three organisations. Being a big animal lover, Emma fits right in with our team, here at CareDogs. Emma has a cat and a dog and is a member of Croydon MenCap. Emma attends our group walks, ensuring everyone participating knows the route. Emma is also responsible for encouraging participants on our walks.

  • Delphine Chui

    Founder & Chair of Trustees

    Delphine is a writer and speaker who was named one of WACL’s (Women In Advertising and Communications) Future Leaders. She founded CareDogs in tribute of her family rescues, Ricko, Darcy and Dora who brought companionship and community to her childhood. She now has two adopted pets of her own: Nola, a Belgian Malinois mix and Dill, a calico cat.

  • Melanie Astbury

    Trustee (Marketing)

    With a decade of experience in fashion marketing, Melanie has a proven track record in digital, social media, and brand strategy. She now works in a consultancy that advises the public sector on decarbonisation and sustainability, reflecting her deep commitment to both environmental stewardship and community service. She has a cat called ShadowMark and two family ChowChows called Boo and Mackie. 

  • Paloma Robinson

    Trustee (Legal)

    As trainee solicitor at an international law firm, Paloma has undertaken seats in both contentious and non-contentious areas of law, as well as providing pro bono legal services for Unicef. She is a keen netball player and her family have a chocolate Lab named Oscar.

  • Felicity Winkley

    Trustee (HR)

    Felicity is People Director for a fast-growing FinTech company. She has helped to scale the business from 40 to more than 90 employees and was awarded Credit Strategy's Rising Star (Commercial Credit) at Women in Credit 2019. She has a Maine Coon called Peach.

  • Debbie Warren

    Trustee (Fundraising)

    Debbie has worked with charities her entire career and was an associate lecturer at Chichester University, helping to teach the next generation of fundraisers. In 2009, she set up a consultancy - Inspired Fundraising - supporting not-for-profits such as Macmillan, WWF, and Amnesty, alongside smaller local causes, to help develop their fundraising strategies and campaigns. Debbie has a rescue lurcher called Tessa who likes sausages, zoomies and sofas (in that order).

  • Alex Scotland

    Trustee (Treasurer)

    Alex is a chartered accountant (ICAEW). Having spent eight years at Deloitte, he worked with and advised a number of businesses on their financial reporting controls, forecasting and accounting. He loves dogs but currently has two cats: Rodney and Murphy.

    Alex is a Product Manager with an engineering background with over seven years experience in website development. Currently working at a fast-growing fin-tech company, he is enthusiastic about leveraging technology for social good. Alex has never had any pets but has dabbled with tamagotchis in the past.
